The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BOT), Chief Tony Anenih
has been described by the former Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Segun Oni as a tested patriot and one of the key stabilizing factors of our present day democracy in Nigeria.
According to Oni’s Media Aide, Lere Olayinka, the former governor, in a congratulatory letter to Anenih on his 80th birthday also described the PDP BOT Chairman as God’s gift to Nigeria and the party.
The letter read; “On behalf of my family, I write to congratulate you and celebrate with you on your 80th birthday today, August 4, 2013.
“Baba, your attainment of 80 years in good health and vibrant physique is no doubt a manifestation of the grace of God in your life, and I rejoice with you Sir.
“You are no doubt a tested patriot and one of the key stabilising factors of our present day democracy in Nigeria and our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“You are indeed God’s gift to Nigeria and our great party, PDP.
“The exceptional patriotism and commitment to peace, stability and progress of Nigeria, which you have continually demonstrated both as a police officer and a politician continue to endear you to us, who are following closely from behind.
“Therefore, as we all join you in celebrating the abundance of the grace of God in your life, my prayer is that God in His infinite mercies will continue to uphold you. His protection will continue to be upon you and your family, and that He will grant you more healthy years of service to our country and our great party, the PDP.”
