Foundation holds 3-Days National Medical Outreach in Abuja

Sam Empowerment Foundation (SEF), an NGO, in partnership with the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to The President on Humanitarian Affairs And Poverty Alleviation, on Tuesday, flagged-up a 3-Days National Medical Outreach in Abuja for social responsibility and community upliftment.

The Founder/President of SAM Empowerment Foundation, Dr. (Mrs) Aisha Achimugu, OFR, during the inauguration ceremony at Faith Hill Prophetic Assembly Piwoyi in Abuja, said the initiative is aimed at ensuring that quality healthcare is accessible to all Nigerians, regardless of their socio-economic status. 

Dr. Achimugu said the theme of the occasion titled “Bringing Quality Healthcare to the Less Privileged Through the Renewed Hope Agenda” embodies the mission to extend vital healthcare services to those who need them most. 

According to her, Healthcare is not a privilege but a fundamental human right and yet many citizens remain undeserved and lack access to essential medical service in the country. 

She said the Renewed Hope Agenda, championed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is an ambitious blueprint aimed at fostering socio-economic development, enhancing public service delivery and improving the quality of life of Nigerians. 

“This initiative, organised by the office of the Senior Special Assistant to The President on Humanitarian Affairs And Poverty Alleviation in collaboration with the SAM Empowerment Foundation and other dedicated partners, is a remarkable testament to our collective commitment to social responsibility and community upliftment. 

“Today, we gather not just to lunch an event but to affirm our commitment to bridging this gap, ensuring that quality healthcare is accessible to all Nigerians, regardless of their socio-economic status. 

“This Outreach embodies this vision by bringing healthcare services directly to the undeserved communities in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT. 

“To our beneficiaries, I encourage you to take full advantage of the services provided, it is designed with your health and well-being in mind, engage with our healthcare providers, participate in the screenings, consultations and utilise the resources available to you.

“As we embark on these three days of service, let us remember that our collective efforts are driven by shared purpose to Foster a healthcare, more equitable society where every individual has the upportunity to thrive,” she said.

A beneficiary of the outreach in Piwoyi Community,  Grace Balla , who could not hide her happiness commended the Founder/President of the Foundation, Dr. Mrs Aisha Achimugu for the kind gesture and called other organisations to help the needy in the society. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
