Gov. Sule will construct Bassa road before the end of his tenure, Nasarawa Speaker assures his people

…………… Preaches unity, peace among farmers and herdsmen as raining season commenced.

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, has assured the people of Bassa community in Kokona LGA of the State that Gov. Abdullahi Sule would construct Dari/ Bassa road before the end of his tenure in 2027.

The Speaker stated this at the coronation ceremony of Aren Eggon of Agwada and Fund Raising For the construction of the traditional ruler’s palace.

The occasion took place today Friday in Bassa, Agwada Development Area.

The Speaker said that Governor Sule is a man of development, a listening Governor and he would construct the road to ease the plight of the people and boost socio-economic activities in the area.

According to him, you can see when we are coming, From Dari to Bassa, the road is terrible and I am appealing to his Excellency to come to the plight of my people by constructing Bassa road.

” His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule has passion for development, he has provided roads and other infrastructure across the state.

” His Excellency has done well and still doing well and I believe He would construct Bassa road before his tenure will expire in 2027.

” As the construction of the road would boost agriculture, the revenue base and socio-economic activities as well as improve on the standard of living of the people” he said.

Dr. Jatau also urged the people of Eggon nation and other Nigerians to continue to promote their culture for the overall development of the society.

The Speaker called on Eggon nation to synergize with other ethnic groups for their political, economic and other prosperities.

He also urged the people of his constituency and other people of the state to live in unity, peace and embrace forgiveness to move the constituency forward.

” As the rainy season commenced, I want to urge you, especially the farmers and herders to live in unity and peace with one another.

” This is to boost food production in Bassa, Kokona LGA and the state at large,” he added.

The Speaker appreciated them for organizing the event and assured of his continued support at all times.

Speaker Jatau donated N3million for the building of Aren Eggon Ba Agwada palace.

He used the medium to call on the people of the state to continue to support Gov Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.

Also speaking, Hon. Jonathan Gaza, member representing Keffi/ Kokona/Karu Federal constituency, who is the Co-Launcher at the occasion, represented by his Senior Legislative Aide, Mr Monday Akpu and Hon. Jacob Ajegana Kudu (APC- Nassarawa Eggon East) at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Aren Eggon Ba Kokona, Mr James Affi among others called for promotion and protection of cultural values and heritage.

They also urged the people to live peacefully with one another for development to thrive.

They also made their various donations of cash for the building of the palace.

Responding, Mr Gideon Affiku, the Aren Eggon Ba Agwada Development Area assured of his commitment to lead his people with the fear of God.

He also assured of promoting unity and peace in his domain.

The community leader appreciated the Speaker and other dignitaries for attending the event and prayed God to grant them journey mercies to their various distinctions.

It would be reported that the event featured cultural dance and drama by different women groups on unity, peace, tolerance and development.
