Gov. Sule will leave Nasarawa State far better than he met it in 2019, says SSG

“…as he warns political office holders against early 2027 campaigns…”

……….Nasarawa Assembly hails Gov. Sule for injecting new ideas via workshops on public servants.

The Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State(SSG) Barr. Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, PhD, has said that Gov. Abdullahi Sule will leave the State far better than he met it in 2019 after the end of his tenure in 2027.

This, Dr. Magaji also said the people of Nasarawa State should expect the best transition moment in 2027 by Gov. Sule considering his developmental strides, accountability and administrative achievements.

Dr. Magaji stated this when he led other management team of his office to appear before the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Public Accounts to assess the SSG’s Office 2027 budget implementation today in Lafia.

He said that the recent workshop organized by the State Government for public servants in Abuja was to inject new ideas and knowledge on public servants for good Governance in the State.

” You can see that, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule had recently organized workshop for pubic servants in order to inject them with new ideas for good governance.

” What His Excellency is doing, the people of the state should expect the best from him in his remaining years as Governor.

” By God’s grace with what the Governor has done in the past and with the speed that His Excellency is going with different policies and programmes, he will leave Nasarawa State far far better than he met it when he took over and we will have the best form of transition moment in the history of the State” he said.

“The Governor is doing great, both infrastructure, financially and administratively”

Magaji appreciated Speaker of the House, and the Committee for the support his office is enjoying from them and called for its sustenance.

He assured of coordinating and monitoring the implementation of government policies and programmes in the State..

” As SSG, I will ensure that government policies and programmes are effectively implemented across various government agencies and departments” he said.

The SSG also advised political office holders seeking for elective positions in 2027 against early campaigns.

” I want to advise that political office holders seeking for elective positions in 2027 should not distract His Excellency and the government with their campaigns, because it is still time for governance, our focus, Gov. Sule’s focus is not 2027 but Governance” he added.

He called on all government MDAs to braze up, be up and doing to deliver the best saying that their activities will be strictly monitored.

“I have different vision, I came with different focus and blue print to change the narratives, make a difference in the system”

“I have learnt a lot from our interactions with members this morning and it has further shows that Hon. Members are reading and are doing their work as expected, we will go back and do the needful in all the areas observed from the budget”

“No Commissioner is more busier than myself, so if I can be hear myself, accord all the respect to the lawmakers and I am ever ready to come 100 times if the House invites me 100 times, so know Commissioner can give any excuse not to come and speak before the House on his budget” Dr Magaji said.

Earlier, Hon. Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki, the Chairman of the Committee has commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for organizing workshop for public servants for good governance in the State.

He also appreciated the Governor for keying into different policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the State.

Hon. Akwashiki said that the budget assessment exercise was to know the level of implementation of the SSG office for the First Quarter.

” The Rt. Hon. Speaker, Dr Danladi Jatau has directed all House Standing Committees to go and oversight on the activities of MDAs in the State.

” This exercise is not to witch hunt anybody but to ensure that what is budgeted to your office is strictly adhered to.

” What we are doing is to ensure that the right things are done for the overall development of the State.

Hon. Akwashiki assured the SSG office of the committee’s support and cooperation to succeed.

” We are partners in progress, we will continue to work together for the progress and development of the State” he said.

“I want to commend you for coming with new ideas to change the system, I also want to commend you for establishing good working relationship with the House and above all I want to commend His Excellency Gov. Abdullahi Sule for the good things he is doing for the people of the State “He added.
