Government Forces Hold Suspect in Kano’s Bayero University Attack

THE Joint Task Force mandated to enforce normalcy and apprehend suspected criminals terrorizing Kano and environs arrested a man suspected of being one of the brains behind Sunday’s attack at the Bayero University campus in Kano.

A graduate of Ramat Polytechnic’s Ordinary National Diploma, Ibrahim Mohammed Ali had escaped during a morning raid at the Bubugaje Sharada Phase III industrial estate in Kano.

The attack which he is suspected of orchestrating cost 20 lives on Sunday, innocent victims of a murderous religious ideology. As the survivors of the initial bombing rushed out of the building where they had been previously worshipping, they ran into the deadly bullets of waiting fanatical murderers, who heartlessly mowed them down.

Ali’s escape during the Joint Task Force raid on the bomb-making factory was aided by a mother who used herself and her infant child as ???? to protect the suspect from being taken down. The mother and her child were later evacuated from the scene.

Unconfirmed reports is describing Ali, the suspect, as the husband and the father of the mother and child who shielded him from the raiding government forces.

A spokesman for the Joint Task Force, Lt. Ikedichi Iweba, confirmed the arrest.
