A group, under the auspices of Coalition of FCT Residents and Abuja Indigenous People, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing a vibrant youth of the FCT, Lawrence Bitrus Garki, as Mandate Secretary, FCT Area Council Secretariat.

In a statement signed by its Chairman, Mr Murktar Sanusi, on Friday, the group commended Tinubu for the appointment, saying he is a round peg in a round hole.

He said: “Once again, President Bola Tinubu has shown so much to the indigenous people of the FCT by appointing an active youth into the FCT Administration and must be commended for that.

“Lawrence an FCT indigene, is an intelligent young man and versatile in knowledge and resilience and doggedness, and can-do spirit, his life story is a litany of service to humanity, worthy of this national assignment.

“Lawrence, through his track record, has proven to be hard working, entrepreneurship, and patriotic. He is a branding expert and techpreneur.

“He is the CEO Attachi Inc, a social-cultural organization poised to document, archive and promote the heritage and values of the Gbagyi people of Nigeria.

“He is a distinguished Nigerian youth who has continued to give his all in the service to fatherland.

“This latest appointment, therefore, becomes a matter of genuine responsibility and recognition of the contributions of his hard work.

“It could be recalled that Lawrence has paid his dues by playing major roles during the campaigning period of President Tinubu election.

“Therefore, on behalf of FCT Indigenes and Residents, we pray that Almighty God guide and grant him all the necessary wisdom so that he acquits himself as a true son of the FCT indigene deserving of this exalted office. Coupled with intelligent and experience, he shall demonstrate that there is no looking back and no stopping him in all his activities in the nation’s capital, Abuja,” he said.
