The National President of National Council For Women Society, (NCWS) Hajiya Lami Adamulo has been conferred with a prestigious Humanitarian Award, the Award was conferred on her by a reputable Non Governmental organization known as Association For Orphans and Vulnerable Children NGOs (AONN) during her Annual General Scientific Meeting at the Green Mind Hotel, Utaku Abuba. AONN is an organization that is saddled with the responsibility of championing the course of orphans, vulnerable children and the physically challenged people in the society.
According to the Board Secretary of the organization, Dr. Grace Dafiel sqr, Hajiya Lami was found worthy of the conferment because of the relentless efforts in Humanitarian services rendered over the years.
Responding to the gestures, Hajiya Lami expressed joy, and appreciated AONN for the recognition, In her words Hajiya Lami said ” when I was informed about the nomination, I was filled with mixed feeling, but when the person explained further and told me that the Award was coming from a reputable organization such as AONN, and it was based on the Humanitarian services I have rendered to women and vulnerable children in Nigeria, I had to make it a point of duty to come down myself and collect the Award despite my health conditions because this is what the NCWS has been doing for the past 58 years” and if we find someone of like mind, we take very seriously.
She envisage that they will continue to support the orphans and vulnerable children because they are victims of circumstances, she said last year they shared some of their zones to the Widows, Physically Challenged People and the Less Privileged in Nigeria.
Hah. Lani said NCWS is ready to partner with AONN, as the partnership will foster the well being of the Nigerian women and vulnerable children.
Finally Hajiya Adamulo used the opportunity to to invite the National Coordinator of AONN, Mr. Marcus Williams to hasten up and meet with her as soon as possible so that they can work out an action plan on how to tackle the plight of women and vulnerable children in Nigeria.
