The nonegerian said that the current attitude being displayed in the ‘’ middle some conduct’’ of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who leaves his duty post in Ondo state , to dabble in politics of neighboring Ekiti state often warrant hoodlums to come over , display territorial aggression and unleash mayhem on innocent folks.

According to Pa Otokiti rival miscreants gave his son, identified as Ife Odunayo Otokiti, 40, was nearly killed when thugs suspected to be acting at the behest of some prominent politicians nearly killed him, for event that happened exclusively in Ado- Ekiti, but the ripples were felt in Akure.

His words.’’ I am not a politician. My son was involved with them as a youth activist. Lessons have to be learnt. They have their place in Ekiti, why did they have to invade Akure looking for people to kill? They failed to catch my son, in anger, they started destroying my stalls, belongings and wares owned by my tenant. It is barbaric. Is it evil? When people get killed illegitimately their lives cannot be replicated.

What would have happened if they caught my son? “He said Ife escaped and has not been seen anywhere near home since.

Pa Otokiti said that his son confessed to him that the failed assassination plot was as a result of demands made that a politicians should pay them for working as a party agents and that they had fundamental disagreement on the need to allow for internal democracy and a violence free election in Ekiti state.

Pa Otokiti rejected suggestions that his son could be ‘’ a violent thug’’ He asked our reporter ‘’ How can someone who was fighting against violence be accused of such? No. He was not a thug. They did not like his non-violence philosophy. They did not want to pay him for works done’’.
