How Gov Ajimobi Manipulated NYSC State Award for Daughter

– Daughter Awarded Despite Never Spending a Day at Camp

After series of complaints received by sharpedgenews.com over the last month about how the

National Youth Service Corps award presented to the daughter of Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, an investigation was launched into the allegations.

In this investigative report, sharpedgenews.com can authoritatively report that the Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi actually used his influence to manipulate the NYSC posting of his daughter to his State, the Oyo State.

Further investigations also revealed that at the commencement of the camping at the orientation camp, Iseyin, Ajimobi’s daughter, who arrived with her mother in company of others, never spent a day in the camp while the three weeks exercise lasted at the orientation camp based in at Iseyin, Oyo State.

Informed sources told Sharpedgenews.com that the young Governor’s daughter, Ms. Ajibola Ajimobi arrived the Camp on the first day and returned with her mother after doing the necessary registrations expected of a Corps member.

Sharpedgenews.com also gathered that the day of her arrival at the orientation camp at Iseyin with her mother, the Oyo first lady made sure that every corps member was served a sumptuous meal of rice, chicken and canned drinks.

Investigations revealed that the day was also a very delightful one for officials of the NYSC who after receiving cash donations were each given mobile handsets by the Oyo first lady.

“The truth is that we ate very good food she brought to us. At least, it was better than the one fed us by the NYSC. The daughter was never allowed to pass a night at the orientation camp in Iseyin. As a matter of fact, she was brought to do the registration at
the commencement of camping and later taken away. It was on the day of passing-Out from the camp that she was brought again,” a Corps member told sharpedgenews.com.

It however came as a surprise when in the last month Passing- Out Parade at Lekan Salami, Adamasingba Stadium, Ibadan; the young Ajimobi was among the five out-going members of the National Youth Service Corps 2011 Batch ‘B’ in the State who received NYSC State Honours Award.

Miss Ajibola Ajimobi, Miss Ajewole Deborah Omotunde, Miss Otiapene Lynda, Mr. Osinubi Olaide Abdullateef and Mr. Bamikunle Razaq Adewole were among those who bagged the NYSC State Honours Award on the occasion of the 2011 Batch ‘B’ Passing-Out.

Ajibola  Ajimobi who we gathered is the third child of the first family in Oyo State and was a Batch ‘B’ corps member with state code number OY/IIB/2465 who according to the NYSC in Oyo State bagged the award based on the fact that she executed projects that were about N30 million.

The five of them were also presented with cash reward of N100, 000 and certificates of honour.

The Governor’s daughter according to the Oyo State NYSC was honored for coming out tops in seven different NYSC community development projects, worth over N30 million.
The seven projects which included the building of an equipped ICT centre at the state NYSC secretariat and the renovation of a two-storey classroom block at Eleyele High School, Ibadan.

Others included the construction of a six-room VIP toilet at the same high school and provision of water.

“We all know how she ended up executing N30million project. The truth is that if she is not a Governor’s daughter, she would not have raised such huge amount of money for project. I can’t find sponsors for ordinary half a million project not to talk of N30miilion. You see that is Nigeria for you,” remarked one of the Corps members.
