In Ore, Mimiko Lays Out Vision for an Industrialized City

Ondo state Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko on Monday continued his re-election campaign to Odigbo local government area of the State with a pledge to turn Ore, the capital of the council into an industrialized one.

Mimiko who addressed a mammoth crowd of supporters in Ore, his first port of call, where he also flagged off the rehabilitation of 6.1-kilometer Ore township roads itemized the numerous developmental projects already put in place by his administration in the past three and a half years.

This according to him include the Multi-million Naira Industrial Park, the on-going Ore Sunshine City, Ore Agriculture Farm Settlements, modern international market amongst others assured that Ore, would soon be one of the best city in the country given its unique position as the gateway to the Eastern and Northern parts of the country.

“Ore, given its unique position is a potential hold mine and we have begun the process of making it one of the best cities in the whole world. It is largely unplanned but we have started planning it and putting in place a lot of infrastructure that would make it a hilt
industrialized city. We are leveraging on ore’s unique geographical location by tapping into the abundant gas reserve in this area, we are working on the Omotoso Gas Plant also located here and by the grace of God, we will make this city into the best industrialized corridor in Nigeria.

“What we only wanted from you is give us your mandate to allow us complete what we started and to be able to do more for our people. When we are here a few years ago, The people of This local government asked for a lot of hinges and to the glory of God, we have been able to provide all these. Today, we have met most of your demands and if
you vote for us again, we are going to do more to make life better for all of us,” Mimiko pledged.

Governor Mimiko later visited Odigbo Town, Ajue, Lasia, Mulekangbo, Kajola Ojurin and several communities where he commissioned several projects running into over N500million built by his administration under the 3is Initiative of his government under its Ministry of Community Development and Cooperative Services.

Mimiko had on Sunday taken his campaign train to Ayesan, Olokuta, Koseru and Ajebandele all in the Constituency Two of Odigbo local government where he also commissioned numerous projects and assured the people of these communities more solid developmental projects in the rural areas including roads, health ventures, community centers, assistances in agriculture, provision of soft loans to traders,
