
The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Comrade Augustine Egbon, the National Chairman of the Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD) Branch of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG).
In a statement signed by IPMAN’s National President, Chief Dr. Kolawole Adewoyin, Deputy National President, Alhaji Katanga Mainasara and National Secretary, Mr. Fred Ufuah,
on behalf of the entire members of the association, described his death as a significant loss to the industry and to all workers in the petroleum sector.
IPMAN acknowledged Comrade Egbon’s role as a formidable pillar within NUPENG, highlighting his visionary leadership that greatly benefited members of the PTD Branch and the larger union.
The association extended heartfelt condolences to his family, the PTD Branch, and NUPENG, praying for strength and resilience to bear this profound loss.
“The death of Comrade Egbon is a big loss not only to his family but to the entire petroleum industry. He will be leaving behind a legacy of dedicated leadership and unwavering commitment to the welfare of petroleum sector workers,” IPMAN added.
