IPMAN National President, Executives Celebrate President Tinubu’s Second Anniversary, Applaud Economic Reforms, Advocate For Industry Support

Chief (Dr) Ambassador Kolawole Adewoyin, the newly affirmed National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), along with the entire National Executive Council (Exco), has extended heartfelt congratulations to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu on his second anniversary in office.

The association commended President Tinubu’s “numerous achievements” and bold economic reforms over the past two years.

In a statement released on Saturday, Chief (Dr) Ambassador Kolawole Adewoyin specifically praised President Tinubu for granting financial autonomy to local governments.

He described this as a “landmark policy” poised to strengthen grassroots governance and foster national development.

Deputy National President, Alhaji Katanga Mainasara, also expressed strong support for the administration’s decision to remove the fuel subsidy.

He noted that the subsidy had “dragged the nation backwards for years,” and emphasized that its removal was a necessary step to reposition Nigeria’s petroleum sector and ensure a more sustainable economic future.

“The removal of fuel subsidy was long overdue. It has opened the door for reforms that will benefit all Nigerians and promote transparency in the downstream sector of the petroleum industry,” Alhaji Katanga Mainasara stated.

Chief Adewoyin further called on President Tinubu to support petroleum marketers by providing single-digit interest loans.

He stressed that such financial assistance would significantly enhance the working conditions and operational capacity of IPMAN members across the country.

Additionally, IPMAN National Secretary, Mr. Fred Ufuah, urged the federal government to approve the establishment of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) plants for IPMAN members.

He highlighted that this initiative would accelerate Nigeria’s transition to cleaner energy and create new business opportunities within the sector.

“As we celebrate President Tinubu’s second year in office, we look forward to further collaboration with the government to realize the full potential of Nigeria’s petroleum industry,” Mr. Fred Ufuah added.
