IPMAN Western Zone Disassociates From Group Calling For Shutdown Over Dangote’s Petrol Distribution Plans

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Western Zone, has disassociated itself from a group calling for a shutdown of operations over Dangote’s planned distribution of petroleum products.

In a press release signed by Adeyemi Adepoju, IPMAN Western Caretaker Zonal Chairman, he stated that those who issued the call for the shutdown over Dangote’s planned petrol distribution are unknown to IPMAN Western Zone.

He described them as illegal members operating under the voided 2009 constitution.

According to him, those who released the statement on behalf of IPMAN Western Zone are impostors and have no legal right to issue such a press release.

“As our new President emphasized in our recent AGM, IPMAN Western Zone is ready to work with Dangote to ease product distribution in the zone.”

“IPMAN Western Zone, therefore, urges both Dangote and NUPENG to find an amicable solution to the problem. As IPMAN members, we will support any move that reduces the cost of transporting our products. We will not support any action that will bring hardship to Nigerians.”

“We call on our teeming members to go about their businesses unhindered and report anyone attempting to disrupt their business to the following number: 08022843305 for necessary action.”

“IPMAN Western Zone does not support any strict action and urges its members to continue their businesses unhindered.”
