The Proprietor of Isese Light Kiddies Nursery and Primary School in Omi-Adio, Ibadan, Chief Ifalere Odegbemi Odegbola II, has purchased a school bus for the first Isese school in Ibadan.
This acquisition comes just a few months after the school’s establishment and marks it as the first Isese primary school in the area.
The new bus has generated excitement among staff and pupils, who are thrilled to witness this development.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Ifalere Odegbemi Odegbola II, who is also the Araba of Ibadanland and Olu-Isese of Ibadanland, stated that he decided to purchase the bus to transport pupils and staff in Omi-Adio and its surroundings.
“The bus will assist the school in facilitating educational trips and transporting staff members and pupils efficiently.”
Chief Ifalere Odegbemi Odegbola II emphasized that he founded Isese Light Kiddies Nursery and Primary School to promote educational development in Oyo State and pledged to continue contributing to this cause.
“The establishment of the first Isese school in Ibadan is a significant cultural revival. We aim to enhance the educational landscape of the state while promoting Yoruba traditional beliefs, which have faced challenges .”
He also highlighted the importance of Western education alongside reconnecting with indigenous roots, asserting that education in traditional religion is essential for cultural identity.
He assured that the school would not discriminate against other religions, stating that all faiths would be equally recognized and respected.
“Like any standard school, we will provide a comprehensive curriculum for our children. Those from Isese backgrounds will learn Yoruba methodology and ethical teachings to become better leaders.”
“The understanding of these elements is crucial for the younger generation to appreciate their heritage.”
He urged parents in Omi-Adio and surrounding areas to take advantage of the affordable school fees and appealed to the Ido Local Government Chairman to urgently repair the Aba Araba to Alakaso road, which is currently in poor condition.
