The Nigerian Labour Congress(NLC) has called of its strike. The announcement was made by the labour president, Ayuba Wabba on Sunday.
According to the NLC president, it became necessary to call off the nationwide strike after government gave a firm and formal assurance to reconvene the tripartite meeting on the proposed new minimum wage.
The NLC had embarked on a strike at midnight on Wednesday after a tripartite meeting with the federal government endedl in a deadlock.
