Kuje Council Chairman-elect Promises Basic Infrastructure

Hon. Abdulahi Sulieman Sabo, the Chairman-elect of Kuje Area Council, FCT, has assured residents of Kuje Area Council, FCT of provision of basic infrastructure for the development of the area.

Sabo made the promise during his swearing-in as the Chairman of the Council in the second tenure, in Kuje on Tuesday.

He assured that 500KVA transformer, road maintenance and provision of security and by-pass roads would be constructed to ease vehicular movement in and out of the communities.

According to him, the infrastructure will go a long way to easing hardship with a view of ensuring dividends of democracy to the people in the area.

“I will ensure that people in my constituency and the grassroots enjoy dividends of democracy in Kuje Area Council.

“I also want to assure the people that more intervention projects are coming to enable them enjoy the dividends of democracy.

“People call me Mr PROJECT because am not good at making empty promises like others; all I have said will be done in a very short time,” he said.

However, the Chairman advised residents of the Area Council to ensure effective maintenance of the infrastructure when provided.

Meanwhile, Chief Obot Momoh, a community leader, who spoke on behalf of other communities thanked the chairman for his efforts and called for speedy implementation of his promises.

“We collectively want to thank him as a community and say may Almighty God keep him for us and take him higher,” he said. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
