Kuje Lawyers Forum holds fitness exercise, demands branch status

The Kuje Area Council Lawyers Forum, in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, on Saturday held a fitness exercise to enable its members keep fit for healthy living and for public awareness/sensitization of the Forum in the area.

The Chairman of Kuje Lawyers Forum, Barrister Clement Enema Ojotule Esq, who talked to newsmen during the fitness exercise said is aimed at improving and maintaining the overall health conditions of the members.

Barrister Clement said the essence of the Forum which is still under Gwagwalada branch is to bring together Lawyers within the area to meet, interact,, know themselves and make demands for their welfare.

According to him, the Forum has been working towards becoming a Branch, adding that efforts have been put in place to meet with the FCT Chief Judge to grant Kuje a division.

“Today we decided as a Forum to do a fitness exercise and walk out for healthy living and improve the overall health conditions of our members.

“Health is wealth and we want to keep fit so that we will be healthy because no amount of money you have and if you do not have good health its nothing.

“The fitness walk exercise to enable our members to keep fit for healthy living and for public awareness and sensitisation to know our presence in the area.

“We have been working to see how we can become a branch and one of such procedure is having a division in Kuje and we have made efforts to meet with the Chief Judge of FCT.

“We are using this opportunity to plead with the Chief Judge to grant Kuje a division and finance is one of our challenges as a Forum,” he said.

The Secretary of the Kuje Lawyers Forum, Barrister Samuel Toyin Modamori, on his part said bodily exercise profits immensely because health is wealth, saying that only the healthy pursue wealth.

However, Barrister Samuel implored the members to engage in regular physical exercise to improve their fitness and health conditions. (NAN)
