Lawmaker assures constituents of more developmental projects

Alhaji Mohammed Alkali, member representing Lafia North constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has assured the people of his constituency of more developmental projects.

Alkali said he aimed at bringing projects that would boost the socio-economic activities, and ensure welfare of all the constituents.

The lawmaker, who is the Deputy Chief Whip of the House, gave the assurance while playing host to officials of Ashige Electoral Ward of the constituency, who were on a congratulatory visit to him on Tuesday, in Lafia.

Alkali said that providing more infrastructure and developmental projects to the people of the constituency, would also promote peace in the area.

“I want to appreciate you for congratulating me over my Federal High court victory as the APC candidate of the constituency, come 2023.

“This is not just my victory, but APC victory. Let’s continue to mobilise support for APC to succeed in 2023.

“By God’s grace, more projects such as electricity, among others, will be provided to your area in order to impact lives positively.

“I want to re-assure you of my continuous open door policy, and to provide more dividends of democracy to our people,” he said.

Alkali also called on officials of the party, and members, to continue to mobilise support for Gov. Abdullahi Sule, and other APC candidates to succeed in 2023.

He tasked them on peaceful co-existence, in order to boost agricultural activities for the overall development of the area, and the state at large.

Earlier, Mr Musa Mohammed, the APC Chairman of Ashige electoral ward, said that the visit was to congratulate Alkali over his victory at the court.

Mohammed assured the lawmaker of their loyalty and support to enable him succeed.

The chairman also assured Alkali of the party’s determination to mobilise support for him, governor Sule, and other APC candidates come 2023.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that a Federal High Court, Lafia, presided by Justice Nehezina Afolabi, had on Nov. 1, declared Alkali as the authentic and lawful winner of the APC primaries held on May 27.

The court held that all the preliminary objections by the 3rd defendant, Mrs Juliana Esla, lacked merit. (NAN)
