The National Chairman of the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, has said that all Nigerians should turn to God and seek his mercy for solution to our challenges.

Secondus notes that in truth all of us have fallen short before God and a period like Christmas provides ample opportunity to return to him in deep supplications.

In a statement from his media office signed by Ike Abonyi, Prince Secondus notes that the birth of the messiah which we celebrate at this time opens the window for us sinners to commune with our creator for restitution of our lost glory as a nation.

He remarked that the reason for this season which is the coming into this World of the messiah entails that we try to clean up ourselves to meet him because his birth at Christmas brought hope to humanity.

Even though the challenges at the moment appear enormous, Prince Secondus urged Nigerians not to despair but to use this period to meet the master Jesus with the magic wand for an answer

“In a Yuletide like Christmas we are provided the ample opportunity to seek and meet the messiah with our needs and desires.

He said that the stage Nigeria and indeed the global community are at the moment, requires only deep supplications noting that the worrisome state of the nation can only be averted if the leaders govern in the fear of God.

Finally, the National Chairman, on behalf of the members and leaders of the party across the country and in diaspora, wishes all Nigerians joyful Christmas celebrations.
