Likeminds All Stars Football Club in Kuje Area Council FCT, an Abuja based veteran football/social club, at the weekend honoured its members with merit awards of excellence, hard work, dedication among others and called on the players to be committed for the development of veteran football in the country.
The Secretary of LIKEMINDS All Stars, Mr. Ahamefule Nwalozie, while issuing certificate to members during its end of the year celebration said the awards is aimed at encouraging and inspiring members to give in their best during weekend trainings and tournament with other football clubs.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that awards of outstanding excellence was presented to Coach Martins Asata Patron of the club, Mr Momoh Mohammed President and Jude Oparandu the Vice President of Likeminds All-stars.
Mr Momoh Mohammed President of Likeminds during the presentation said the awards and certificates was presented to members and players who have distinguished themselves in character, hard work, punctuality, socialization, discipline and dedication to duties for the development of the club.
Mr Momoh expressed excitement for the length of time members have stayed together irrespective of many challenges, noting that the club deserves to honour players and celebrate successes they have achieved in one year.
According to him, despite many challenges and stumbling blocks, Likeminds have been able to achieve so many success and development within a short period of time after breaking away from the Parent Kuje All-stars.
Mr Jude Oparandu the Vice President of Likeminds All-stars wished LIKEMINDS All Stars FC success and long life on their End of the Year celebration and prayed for the continued oneness of the club.
NAN also reports that the celebration witnessed a lot of merriment with food and drinks in abundance, while singing and wonderful dancing steps by DON HILZ, BABWIRE and PREZIDO with other side YAM attractions were very much present.
MORINGA lovers also graced the occasion appearing in colourful outfits to INSPIRE and LIGHT UP the atmosphere of the venue. (NAN)
