WHOLE sections of the Idi Araba campus of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital were destroyed in a Thursday evening inferno.
The fire raged for at least an hour before it was put out, said eyewitnesses.
The official cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, but unverified reports claim it was the result of an electrical spark in one of the affected buildings.
Fire service personnel arrived to battle the flames after distress calls were made.
