Mimiko Dissolves Ondo Cabinet as 2nd Term Commences

GOVERNOR Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State on Wednesday reorganized his two year old cabinet by dissolving 22 commissioners and two special advisers.

The affected officials include chairmen and members of boards and parastatals, senior special assistants, special assistants, and all those who served in positions other than statutory commissions.

Mimiko thanked them for having helped him to pilot the affairs of the State in the last two years.

The governor has been waiting for an opportunity to reorganize his cabinet for optimum performance.

Mimiko who summoned the Commissioners and Advisers to an emergency Executive Council meeting at the State Executive Council Chamber thanked them for having contributed their quota towards the development of the State in the last two years and a few months.

“It is time for us to sit back, take stock and give an account of where we are and how to make progress. We need to take this decision which is a way of general audit and re-construction. This is an exercise that any organisation must do from time to time in order to re-energise and move forward.
