Miss Ambassador For Peace Visits Gov. Aliyu

The newly crowned Miss Ambassador for Peace, Beauty Istifanus has commenced work looking for all opportunity to promote what she was crowned for and her first point of call was to the Niger state government where the chief servant, governor  Muazu Babangida  Aliyu and his commissioners received the delegates.

Speaking on the reason for the visit , Miss Beauty Istifanus who could not hide her  joy, thanked the governor Aliyu  for giving them an audience, stating that the reason for making the state her first point of call is because of the support the governor has been giving to the less privileged and his effort of promoting peace.

She said: “I was crowned Miss Ambassador for Peace 2012 on the 29th September 2012 in an event that had other 26 contestants vying for the crown. At the end of the event, I was crowned the Queen. I have always had passion for His Excellency’s humility and service to his people.“Based on these values, I did mention to the organizers that the first State I intend to visit out of the 36 states will be Niger State.

It is on this note that the organiser of Miss Ambassador for Peace 2012, Kingsley Amafibe and my humble self are here today to present my Pet projects that is also in line with Youth Empowerment and development that has been the thrust of your Excellency’s administration.“My pet program will involve giving out educational materials in primary schools as well as educate and enlighten the pupils on the need to embrace peace as the key to growth and development.

In all these, the State image and ideologies will be promoted and their support mentioned in the course of carrying out these assignments. She appealed to the governor to continue his support for them as his contribution in the area of  peace and care to the less privileged can never be overemphasized.

Responding, governor Muazu Babangida  Aliyu promised his  support to the newly crowned Miss Ambassador For Peace stating  that “Whatever will promote peace and encourage productivity, his government is willing to support.” He promised his government’s support for her project.

Selected pupils will be chosen at the state level for camping that will last for a week at a well secured venue with the support of each state government. The pupils will be invited to spend a day at a yet to be chosen venue for next year’s Beauty contest prior to the grand finale where they will be awarded scholarship, consolation prizes and awarded Peace Ambassadors during the crowning of the next queen.
