the story of one of Nigeria’s most dangerous scam artist.
Further investigations conducted by Sharpedgenews.com showed that
Alhaji Gay is not only a scam artist but a ritualist who has been tormenting Lagosians through his cohorts in Police and EFCC in Lagos.
Sharpedgenews.com gathered that Alhaji Gay, in active collaboration
with some corrupt elements within the police from Alagbon Division and
EFCC, hasn used illegal arrest to defraud many unsuspecting members of the public who are usually made to look like criminals.
Our investigation revealed that initially, Alhaji Gay used to carry out his operation through his corrupt cohorts in the Police but later sought the connivance of some corrupt EFCC officials who became part of the syndicate terrorizing the people in the Southwest.
Sharpedgenews also gathered that upon arrest of their victim they will
take that person direct to either Alagbon Police Station or EFCC office to make it look real. After they must have obtained information from a targeted victim, they would use it to concoct petition that would be read to such person, claiming that some people have petitioned them before they swung into action.
In some instances, Alhaji Gay and his gang members are so notorious that they would plant incriminating documents in either their victim’s car or house. Many innocent Lagosians, we gathered, fell prey to Gay’s notorious antics. So many of his victims who spoke with our sharpedgenews.com under conditions of anonymity because of the fears that they may be harrassed by dubious security operatives, accused him of many atrocities including ritual killings and sodomizing some of his victims.
According to investigation, his victims are in most cases arrested at illegal road-blocks, recreational centers and even hotels. The first thing they ask suspect is his full name and address. When they obtained this, they would quickly arrange a petition and show it to the person the following day. Meanwhile, the victim is denied access to an attorney until all incriminating forged documents are perfected against such person.
Sharpedgenews.com equally gathered that many innocent people who refused or could not afford the exorbitant bribe usually demanded by Alhaji Gay have sometimes been charged to court by EFCC with such forged and fake documents and many today are serving various terms in prison.
Further investigation by Sharpedgenews.com revealed that many of Alhaji Gay cohorts in Police and EFCC in Lagos have made large amounts of money from the illegal business of framing people up under the guise of waging an anti-corruption crusade.
