Murtala Qualified to Run for AMAC Chairmanship Primaries – AMAC Stakeholders

The Abuja Municipal Area Council Stakeholders (AMAC) FCT, says Murtala Karshi, a leading All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairmanship aspirant is qualified to run for the party’s primary elections scheduled to hold Thursday, April 22, 2021.

Comrade Yunusa Yusuf, spokesperson of Abuja stakeholders and Executive Director of Abuja Grassroots Projects, made this known in Abuja during a press conference to counter earlier reports of alleged fraud by the aspirant.

Yunusa said the stakeholders are solely behind Murtala to contest in the primaries and that the allegations he was collecting salaries from three different agencies was untrue and baseless.

According to him, the alleged report was a mistake from the Independent Payroll Personnel Information System (IPPIS) and which he refunded the money and appropriate corrections were rectified.

“Murtala Karshi is our endorsed candidate and we have agreed and resolved that their zone should be given the AMAC Chairmanship seat.

“I have been seeing some kind of political induced press statement going round, but I want to tell you that it is not true and has not committed any alleged crime.

“I want to tell all delegates and voters that it is not true, because he refunded back all the money that was given to him, they just wanted to hold back to what is not possible.

“We have all the evidence of payment and Murtala have been cleared, this is politics and I want all Publications to be debunked.

However, he called on all the delegates and party faithfulls to come out en mass and vote Murtala Karshi for the development of AMAC and FCT. (NAN)
