The Nigeria Airforce (NAF) has continued to intensify clearance operations in the Niger Delta region,
this is as it successfully destroyed some oil barges, containing stolen oil products, at Adokiakiri community in the Niger Delta.
The Director of Public Relations, Information (DOPRI), Air Commodore Olatokunbo Adesanya, made this known in a statement in Abuja. He noted that, the illegal oil barges and storage facilities were spotted by the NAF EC-135 Helicopter during an armed reconnaissance mission on 5 November, 2017 and they were all subsequently destroyed.
The NAF remains resolute in making oil theft and illegal bunkering unprofitable. The destruction of the barges is aimed at making the stealing of the Nation’s oil products futile, dangerous and unattractive.
