Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for reviving the Warri and Port Harcourt refineries in the Country.
This, he said the move is a significant steps towards addressing the nation’s challenges and the country will be better for it.
The Speaker. stated this during New Year Church Service at ECWA Goodnews, Garaku, Kokona LGA today.
Speaker Jatau urged Nigerians not to lose hope despite the challenges facing the country which he said they are surmountable.
” Let’s continue to pray for leaders to succeed as we can see that our refineries are being reviving, they are back on track, Warri and Port Harcoug refineries have started working.
” With Dangote refinery on ground, the price of fuel has started dropping, we thank God. There is hope in the country and let keep it alive.
” It is in view of this that I want to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his efforts in reviving the economy, our economy is changing positively” he added.
The Speaker also urged Christians and other Nigerians to embrace forgiveness, live in unity and peace as well as tolerate one another irrespective of their affirmations.
He said that forgiveness is one of the best ways that God can accept people’s prayers.
” Let’s forgive one another, forgive your brother that is the only way God will accept our prayers.
” Let’s continue to Live in peace as peace is the necessary requirement for the development of any society.
” Without peace there will be no development , so I want to urge us all to continue to remain united and embrace peace at all times” he said.
The Speaker also prayed for a prosperous new year.
” We pray that this year should be a year of more progress and development” he said.
The Speaker called on the Christians and other people to continue to pray and support Gov. Abdullahi Sule and other leaders to succeed.
He appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his developmental efforts in the State.
Also Speaking, Hon. Mek Agbawu, the Executive Chairman, Kokona LGA called for forgiveness and peace for the overall development of the area.
Agbawu also urged Christians to always have faith in God and live an exemplary lives.
” As you step into 2025, you should be close to God and have faith in him at all times” he said.
” We call for peace in 2025, unity of purpose, forgiveness in 2025. Let forgive one another” he said.
The Chairman listed his blueprint to include agriculture, education, health, youth and women empowerment among others.
Rev. Bitrus Kaya, the Reverend in-charge of ECWA Goodnews, Garaku while presiding over the New Year Church Service urged Christians not to insult leaders rather they should pray for them.
Kaya while quoting Jeremiah 29: 10-15 urged Christians and other Nigerians to always seek God in their daily activities.
” Every challenge, all the economic challenges and other challenges facing the country has an expired date.
” Don’t lose hope in Nigeria, with God everything is possible and the challenges will be overcome.
“May we prosper in Kokona LGA, Nasarawa State and Nigeria at large” he said.
The Religion Leader further urged Nigerians not to insult, castigate or curse leaders but pray for them at all times to enable them succeed.
It would be reported that the the New Year Service featured special prayers for Mr Speaker and other leaders to succeed as well as for the progress and development of the state and the country at large.
