NBA Vice Chairman commends Nigerian Police over rescue of abducted Uni-Abuja staff

Ebosetale David Aigbefoh Esq, the Vice Chairman /Chairman, Human Rights Committee of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Gwagwalada Branch Abuja, has commended the Nigerian Police force and other security agencies on the rescue operation of the abducted UniAbuja staff.

The Vice Chairman who made the commendation to newsmen in Abuja on Friday morning, said the rescued lecturers are in the process of been reunited with their families through efforts in a joint operation with other security agencies.

Aigbefoh particularly commended the great efforts of the Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, CP Babaji Sunday, the AIG zone 7 BALA CIROMA and other security agencies that participated in the rescue operation.

However, he urged them to continue with the good work in ensuring the protection of lives and properties in FCT.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that some armed criminals invaded the university’s Staff Quarters located at Giri community of the FCT in the early hours of Tuesday.

The hoodlums numbering over 20 were said to have shot their way into the University staff quarters and whisked away their victims. (NAN)
