The motion for impeachment was moved by Mr. Andrew Doma who represents Shiroro Constituency, with the support of another lawmaker representing Magama Constituency, Mr. Abass Wazire.

A vote of no confidence was passed by the assembly on Mr. Kawo by almost all the members of the State House of Assembly, with only 3 lawmakers against his impeachment.
