Nigeria Conservation Foundation Appoints Communication, Business Strategist

The Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF), on Wednesday announced the appointment of Mr Uchenna Achunine, a former Executive Director, Centre for Memories (CFM) Enugu to lead its communications and business development team.

This is contained in a statement issued on Wednesday and signed by Dr Muhtari Aminu-Kano, NCF’s Director-General.

It said Achunine’s appointment will impact the foundation positively and bring a great turnaround in NCF’s stakeholders’ engagement, developing new opportunities, and building and expanding the presence of the organization locally and globally.

“He successfully developed and led a 5-year repositioning and growth strategy of the NGO within the broad context of the local, national & international landscape.

”Achunine who could be tagged as Prof. Pat Utomi’s protégé has spent a decade with the Centre for Values in Leadership (CVL) in Lagos.

“He is a certified social sector manager, and a product of the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of the Pan Atlantic University. He was also a former Executive Secretary of The Bridge Leadership Foundation (TBLF), based in Calabar.

“He is skilled in programme design and development, with over 13 years of experience in project and people management, social, innovation policy leadership and budgeting, public awareness and advanced advocacy.

“He also has experience in development and exchange, livelihood and social inclusion, as well as resource mobilization for organizational sustainability,” the statement said.

The statement described NCF as a foremost environmental NGO which is dedicated to nature conservation and biodiversity resources management. (NAN)
