Investors on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday staked N2.62 billion on 306.53 million shares in 3,709 deals.
This was against the N2.34 billion invested on 298.17 million shares in 3,459 deals on Wednesday..
The Banking sub-sector was the most active with N1.8 billion staked on 199.9 million shares in 1,906 deals.
GTB boosted activities in the sub-sector with 68.4 million shares worth N996.7 million traded in 459 deals while FCMB came second with 36.6 million shares valued at N146.3 million exchanged in 33 deals.
The Insurance sub-sector came second with 67.03 million shares worth N52.52 million exchanged in 196 deals.
The NSE All-Share Index appreciated by 19.18 points to close at 20,521.31 from the 20,502.13 recorded on Wednesday..
The market capitalisation also grew by N6 billion to close at N6.512 trillion against the N6.506 trillion achieved on Wednesday
PZ Cussion led the gainers pack, appreciating by N0.99k to close at N30.00 per share.
Okomuoil followed, gaining N0.96k to close at N20.34 per share while Fortoil went up by N0.47k to close at N0.47 per share.
On the other hand, Oando led the losers chart, dropping N1.37 to close at N26.09 per share.
Chemical and Allied Products trailed with N0.54k to close at N16.56 per share while IBTC dipped by N0.30k to close at N7.85 per share.
