NTA General Manager in Ekiti State, Princess Folashade Bankole, in Trouble for Brutalizing Maid

A daughter of Olubadan of Ibadan who also works as the General Manager of the Nigerian Television Corporation in Ekiti State, Princess Folashade Bankole, is now facing charges of child endangerment, human trafficking and enslavement before the National Agency for Prohibition of Traffick in Persons and other Related Matters in Nigeria.

Sharpedgenews.com was reliably tipped off on Tuesday that Princess Bankole was summoned to the Lagos office of the agency on charges of inhuman treatment, gross abuse and trafficking of a minor, whom she allegedly stamped and burned with a hot electric iron.

According to the sources close to the matter, the agency was said to have received complaints on the extremely callous treatment meted out to the little girl from the Woman Affairs ministry. Bankole, described by some of her contemporaries as highly intemperate had been under surveillance for some time. And behaving like a demented, pre-colonial, spoilt and inconsiderate African princess, she according to eye-witnesses, who also corroborated what some of the social workers assigned to the matter later discussed, would beat the minor who was her “housemaid”, burn her fingers and shoulders.

The agency was allegedly given a detailed low-down of how the unfortunate maid was always looking emaciated, gaunt and sad with the tragically festered sore as the trail of the inhuman burns from Bankole.
