Okeyomi Commends Tinubu’s Maturity, Calls for Collaboration

Founder of the Change Agent Foundation International (CAFI), a non-governmental organisation, Dr. Dipo Okeyomi, has applauded the maturity displayed by the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, in the face of persistent criticisms from opposition parties, in the wake of his electoral victory.

Okeyomi, popularly known as Carry-Go, in a goodwill message to mark Easter celebrations, said “Asiwaju, rather than dignify his attackers with responses, has instead retreated to his desk, planning seriously on how to take Nigeria out of the wood”.

Commending the President-elect to other politicians, Okeyomi, also a leading member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said Tinubu has by his approach, demonstrated that politics is not a do-or-die affair, but a call to service.

He, as such tasked those who lost out in the last election, to sink their differences and collaborate with the winners in the overall interest of the Nigerian community,

“Tinubu’s opponents have been unrelenting, using the social media and many other unconventional methods to hit at him, fabricating lies and cooking up stories all aimed at tarnishing his image.

“Others filed differently cases in court all in a bid to stop him from exercising his mandate to rule as President, but he is unfazed. Rather, he has retreated to the drawing board, planning seriously on how to take the Nigerian economy out of the doldrums,” he applauded.

Okeyomi, however, advised Tinubu to heed to sound pieces of advice, bring everyone together and pose as the father of the nation.

“It is natural for some hypocritical elements to want to blackmail others by painting others black just to create a wedge between them and the President, but Tinubu as an experienced politician and elder statesman, should see through the smokescreen and display the good quality of a father with a large heart.

“It is also noteworthy that all the governors supported by Tinubu in Lagos are the best Governors in Nigeria; Fasola worked, Ambode did his own and Sanwo-Olu is working in every part of Lagos.

Tinubu should at a time like this, unite the APC and bring everyone together. He should, in fact, reduce poverty and annihilate hunger in the land.

“At our level in the All Progressives Congress, we are determined to give the President-elect all the supports he would need to excel,” Okeyomi enthused.

Meanwhile, the CAFI, he said, has rolled out many welfare packages to assist the less-privileged in many Lagos and Ogun state communities.

He cited the distribution of work tools like sewing machines, dryers, grinding machines, clippers, and motorcycles, among others.

The CAFI, he added, has also awarded scholarship and given bursaries to over 3000 students in various tertiary institutions across the country.
