Orubebe’s Non-Performance Blamed for Death of First Lady’s Surrogate Mom

MINISTER of Niger Delta Development, Mr. Godswill Orubebe has contacted notable south-south political

shots to accompany him on a planned condolence visit to bereaved First Lady Patience Jonathan, over the untimely death of her surrogate mother who died in a late Monday night auto crash at the Yenagoa – Port Harcourt stretch of the East-West Road.

Mr. Godswill Orubebe, according to some of his aides, allegedly got fidgety, jittery and weak-kneed, as he was allegedly unsure of how the first family could react to the avoidable tragedy, said to have occurred as a result of his purported non-performance.

The usually reliable source told sharpedgenews.com that Orubebe misappropriated and allegedly supervised the diversion of funds budgeted for the rehabilitation of the major federal road in which citizens die almost on a daily basis. “The only woman, the first lady knew as her mother is the latest casualty of the minister’s evil dereliction,” said the source who craved identity protection because of the beleaguered frame of mind of the minister.

Mrs. Iwari-Oba, the woman who died and was kept in the morgue late Monday right was the only woman Patience Jonathan called mother until Monday night’s incident. The first lady is said to be shocked beyond words and was said to be have sworn to hold Orubebe accountable.

Mrs. Jonathan heightening anger is said to be borne out of the fact that Godswill Orubebe is one of the individuals who often come to the State House to manipulate President Goodluck Jonathan. Orubebe allegedly intimidated the judges who handled the case of Former Governor Sylva by his lying that the Jonathan wanted him removed from the helms of affairs in Bayelsa State.

The same Orubebe was the one who allegedly got the president to tag along with the removal plot against the former governor. Orubebe’s familiar script was “always to team up with thieving like minds for the purpose of demonizing and removing any official who could be peer-reviewed with him, pencil such down and eventually see to their removal,” said one of the sources.

The said minister became the most visible lynchpin in the war against Governor Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers State at the early state of the ongoing crisis in the state. But Amaechi, always urged him to concentrate on the primary assignment of fixing the completely washed and broken East-West road.

Work on the road stopped at Ughelli in Delta State. Sharpedgenews.com reports that driving on the road is extremely hazardous. The reality of Orubebe’s lies and manipulations which has now led to the death of an important family member is said to have irked the first lady and Minister Orubebe is said to be scared of the likely backlash. Orubebe’s non-performance is blamed for the Monday night tragedy.
