Politics should attract Human and Infrastructural development to communities – Hon. Msuaan

The Director, National Youth Mobilization ,North Central Zone in theTinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Hon Mike Msuaan, stormed his country home in Jato-Aka,Turan, Kwande Local Government, yesterday, in grand style, to present cash gifts, cows, bags of rice, salt, several cartons of groundnut oil and Maggi in commemoration of the Yuletide.

According toMr Cheren Terfa Jeremiah his Personal Assistant said in separate meetings with the traditional rulers comprising of the Mue Ter Ichongo and the district heads from the eight (8) council wards of Turan and Ikyurav – Ya Hon. Msuaan who is also a member representing the North Central States on the governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic Wannune, informed his royal fathers that he has come in the spirit of love that pervades the season to present Christmas gifts to them. He urged them to prevail on their subjects to reject politics of destruction.

Responding, on behalf of the traditional rulers, the Mue Ter Ichongo, Chief Simon Baver thanked Hon. Msuaan for remembering them at this time. He blessed him on behalf of the Ichongo traditional council.

Addressing his kinsmen, youth groups, pensioners, women, and APC party stalwarts, Hon. Msuaan admonished APC supporters against acrimonious politics, insisting that they be wary of self-centered politicians whose interests are self-serving and come at the expense of the development of Turan and Kwande local government.

“Politics is a means to attract Infrastructure and human development to thepeople and communities.” He maintained that if young people are gainfully employed and given opportunities to grow, as I have always done, they will be able to provide a truckload of rice and fertiliser to their parents. He tasked the electorates to check the antecedents of those contesting elections especially those seeking reelection and match their promises with what they have done for the people so far, then decide wether to support them again”.

He lamented the lingering security issues affecting his people, insisting that the state governor has not been sincere in putting forth genuine efforts that will curb the spate of insecurity in the state beyond lip service. The Director further decried the deteriorating state of schools, hospitals, and other government establishments within the local government, insisting that, for over seven years of the PDP’s reign in Benue State, they have not dug even a well in Kwande.

Addressing pensioners, he stated that, never in the history of the state has workers and pensioners been subjected to such pitiable treatment of such protracted non payment of pensions and Salaries like they are witnessing under the PDP administration at the moment. He counseled them to mobilize their members and vote massively for the APC in the 2023 general elections.

Hon. Msuaan , who is also the Director, Diaspora and interstate affairs in the Alia/Ode Gubernatorial Campaign Council, urged his kin to vote for all APC candidates from top to bottom, saying that as their rallying point and ardent loyalist of the party’s leader, Senator George Akume, he will continue to intercede on Kwande’s behalf to ensure that their interests as a people are always protected.

In a brief remark, Hon. Kenti, the Chairman of APC in Kwande Local Government area, thanked the party faithfuls for their steadfastness and encouraged those who are yet to collect their voters cards to make frantic efforts to ensure that they access INEC collection centres and do the needful.

The leader of APC in Turan, Elder Terzungwe Jenmey, speaking on behalf of the elders, thanked and eulogised Hon. Mike Msuaan for demonstrating love for his people. He prayed for him, asking the Lord to continue to bless him in all his endeavours.

Representatives of the traditional council, youth and women organisations all appreciated him for the gesture.

Earlier, a minute silence was observed for the peaceful repose of the soul of elder statesman Wantaregh Paul Unongo.

Msuaan made cash donations in huge sums to his kinsman, party men and women and many youth groups. He also presented cows, several bags of rice, cartons of groundnut oil, cartons of Maggi, and bags of salt to the different groups.
