It was pomp and pageantry on May 16, 2024, when Rotary Club of Ibadan honoured an oil Mogul and businessman, Chief Kolawole Adewoyin with a distinguished service award.
The event which had in attendance the crème de la crème in Nigeria took place at the Rotary Club of Ibadan building, Iyaganku area in Ibadan.
While speaking on the reason for bestowing such honour on Chief (Dr) Kolawole Adewoyin, the President of the Rotary Club of Ibadan, Rtn Kolawole Shittu Adebisi PHF said that the distinguished service award bestowed on Dr Adewoyin was in recognition of his contribution to peace and conflict resolution in the country.
He also added that Chief Dr Kolawole Adewoyin has been a great supporter of Rotary Club Ibadan.
While receiving the award, Chief Dr Kolawole Adewoyin thanked Rotary Club of Ibadan for the honour and also promised to continue to support the club and further contribute to the development of humanity.
Chief Adewoyin who is the legally recognised National President of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), is also the President of Private Depot and Oil and Gas Association of Nigeria (PDOGMAN).
He is also one of the illustrious sons of Oyo town who has been contributing to the overall growth and development of Oyo kingdom, Ibadan, Lagos and Abuja where he has established businesses and employed many.
He is the Chief Executive Officer of Shiata Guest House, Kolly Shiata Petroleum, Chairman of AAA Adewoyin Petroleum, Aare Gbolaga of Iseyin Land and Asiwaju General Ona Mogba of Oyo Kingdom.
Also honoured with awards at the event was Aare Musulumi Of Oyo, Aare Adebayo Ahmed Kamarise and other notable Nigerians.
