PRESS RELEASE: Abuja Property Firm Denies Selling Mansion to Okonjo-Iweala

In its false story published recently, an online news website, POINTBLANKNEWS.COM alleged that an Abuja property company, EFAB Holdings sold a mansion worth N1.2 billion in Maitama, Abuja, to the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala in November 2011.

Responding to a rebuttal by the minister’s office, the website insisted that it has “overwhelming evidence to prove that she owns the mansion but if she insists we are wrong she knows where to seek redress.”

Now the owner of the property company, Chief Fabian Nworah has come out to categorically deny the story by POINTBLANKNEWS.COM in its entirety.

As the attached statement by EFAB Holdings shows, the story is a total fabrication and the effort of the website to “stand by our story” is as false as it is unprofessional.

The Coordinating Minister has briefed her lawyers and the owners of the disreputable website face legal proceedings shortly.

Thank you.

Paul C Nwabuikwu

Senior Special Assistant to the Coordinating Minister
