PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan used the occasion of an audience with Macedonia’s non-resident ambassador to Nigeria on Thursday to stress his government’s belief in the importance of education, pointing out that his administration is putting all efforts to ensure that Nigeria’s youth do not lack requisite training for any vocation of interest.
Welcoming the ambassador, Mr. Darko Angelov, President Jonathan expressed the government’s appreciation for the scholarships offered by the government of Macedonia for the training of some Nigerian youth in Macedonia.
Speaking at an audience with the non-resident Ambassador of Macedonia to Nigeria,
The President said that he was happy to welcome Mr. Angelov who was at the Presidential Villa to present his letters of credence as Macedonia’s first-ever Ambassador to Nigeria, adding that he looked forward to the consolidation and expansion of bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and Macedonia.
He also assured Mr. Angelov that the Federal Government will work with him and his government to establish a proper framework for the enhancement of bilateral trade and economic relations.
Mr. Angelov told President Jonathan that his country was very keen on developing existing relations with Nigeria because of Nigeria’s importance on the African continent.
