Ahead Of Saturday’s Election, desperate politicians have devised a rigging method of thumb printing of ballot papers
ahead of the Saturday’s presidential and national assembly elections, Sharpedgenews has gathered.
Investigations by Sharpedgenews show that in Unit 10 and 11, ward 9 of Ibadan South East Local Government; members of a popular political party were seen in their large numbers thumb printing on ballot papers
that are to be used for Saturday’s elections.
Youths of the area who corroborated Sharpedgenews ’s investigation said that about 10am, some members of a popular political party came to ward 9 which houses unit 10 and 11with ballot papers in five ‘Ghana Must Go’ bags and smart card readers.
The members of the popular political party were said to have converged at a community hall at ward 9, Oke Oluokun, Adelabu area of Ibadan South East Local Government.
Further investigations by Sharpedgenews showed that some brave youths in the area who observed that something sinister was happening invaded the hall and got two people arrested.
While speaking with our correspondents, some of the youths who don’t want their names in print because of alleged threat and intimidation by some leaders of the political party said that they discovered thumb printed ballot papers in five ‘Ghana Must Go’ bags.
“When we observed that something sinister was going on, we mobilized few of us and invaded the hall they were using. We arrested two people while others escaped. By the time we were planning on calling the Police, about five buses emerged with thugs led by Wasiu Adeyemo, the APC ward 9 chairman, Olohunwa, One Million boys led by Biola Ebila and some NURTW members who we can all identify.
One of the vehicles they came with was branded with Bayo Adelabu’s picture and they started shooting into the air. Some of us were injured by the thugs and they managed to rescue the two people we earlier arrested.
Speaking further, the youths said that they were able to get one of the thumb printed ballot papers while they took others away.
“We handed over the thumb printed ballot paper to Policemen from Idi Aro Police station as evidence of the rigging by APC ahead of Saturday’s elections. Now we are hearing that APC leaders are doing all they can to conceal the truth. A former commissioner under Ajimobi’s government and who is also a House of Representative candidate we gathered has started pulling strings to conceal the truth.”
Similar scenario we gathered played itself out at Oke Ogun area of the State where secret thumb printing for rigging was also thwarted ahead of the Saturday’s elections.
