Sam Foundation donates Educational Materials to FCT School

Sam Empowerment Foundation (SEF) an NGO, has donated Computer equipments, reading tables and chairs to Junior Secondary School, Orozo for Educational Development in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the donation was aimed at commemorating Day of the African Child; with the theme: The Right of a Child in Digital Environment – June 16 2023.

Mrs Kiema Ogunlana, the foundation’s Program Director, during the distribution of the materials, said education is the bedrock of any society, saying that it is their way of giving back and supporting the pupils to become better leaders tomorrow.

The Program Director said the Foundation has an unwavering passion to improve the quality of lives of children and women living in vulnerable conditions in the country.

She said the commitment had brought hope, happiness and light to thousands of Nigerians through programmes which focused on health, education, empowerment, capacity building and psychosocial development, among other interventions.

According to her, one of the major drivers of sound and quality education in every society conducive environment for learning and good educational materials.

“This donation is geared towards aiding learning as well as to equip the students compete favourably in our digitally advancing world.

“If God bless us, we could provide more and we have a couple of things we can do to support the schools because we have been doing a lot of interventions in schools,” she said.

On his part, the headmaster of the school, Mr. Yunusa Abdullahi, commended the Foundation for making the donation, stating that the school has been praying for it.

Abdullahi, however, called on individuals, NGOs and government to support the children with the learning materials like this so that they can learn better.

However, the students also thanked the foundation for their donations and kind gesture and promised to make good use of the materials for better learning. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
