Same Sex Marriage: Archbishop of England Says Practice Repugnant, Unaccepted

The Archbishop of Canterbury, England and the symbolic head of the Worldwide Anglican Communion, Justin Welby,

weekend in Abuja said the Church abhors same sex marriage as it is totally unacceptable and repugnant a practice.

Welby, who is a friend of President Muhammadu Buhari, made a whistle visit to Nigeria, where he also paid a visit to the PDP presidential flagbearer, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in his house.

The Archbishop who made the disclosure in a newspaper interview week end in Abuja, said: “The current position of the Church of England is in the Canon of the Church of England, which says that marriage is a lifelong union of one man to one woman. Full stop.

“I cannot speak for all other churches, but the Church of England does not carry out same sex marriage.

In Nigeria, same sex is criminalized and carry a penalty weigh of 14 years imprisonment without option of fine. Additionally, organizations or individual openly or tacitly involved in promoting the act are to be subjected to the full weight of the law.

Across the country and very recently there have several cases of male paedophiles on rampage abusing and exploiting male and female children for sex.
