State House Clinic Receives Attention in 2018 Budget

A budget proposal of about N700 million naira has been made for State House Medical Centre for 2018 appropriation.

This is contrary to 2017 when no money was allocated to medical centre location in Ado Rock Villa, the Nigerian seat of power.

This was dislosed by Jalal Arabi, Permanent Secretary in the State House while presenting 2018 budget to the Senate Committee on Federal Character on Friday, adding that the medical centre treated 448,000 people freel last year.

Mr. Arabi also disclosed that although President Muhammadu Buhari made it a policy to with the vehicles he met on the ground when he took over abo two and a half years ago, provision has been made in the 2018 budget to replace the vehicles some of which he said we’re bought in 2008.

Senate Tijjani Kaura, chairman of the committee said the committee was happy with the budgetary provision for State House Medical Centre, but advised that the facility could charge just a token so that it could do more for the people.
