Suicide Bomber Attacks Muna Motor Park, Maiduguri Ngala Road Borno State

About eight traders and commuters whose identity has not been confirmed yet were feared killed in a suicide bombing on Wednesday as an improvised

explosive suspected to have been planted by Boko Haram insurgents went off outside a car park in Maiduguri, Borno state.

The explosion went off at a park popularly called Muna Garage at about 9a.m. in the capital city of the north-east Nigerian state.

Though, Causality figure not yet known, reports gathered specified that passengers and transport workers were affected in the blast.

The attack was carried out by a Golf 1 motor vehicle with reg. No JERE 349 XA, body S/No RTEAN 7179 taxi colour carrying 5passengers (4 females and a male driver), by Muna along Maiduguri /Gamboru Ngala road. The explosion occurred when the taxi was attempting to join the convoy of other vehicles heading to Gamboru town.

So far, no terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Nema officials are carrying out rescue operation while the General area has been Condoned off by the JTF.
