Political party should be of the people that are devotedly attached to it, admired it and champion it cause. And the reward or return should be of them that have invested their time and resources to open up the party to victory. In other words, political party need to reward the real loyal members not the Intruders that are loyal to their needs and when the ship is down they find there way.
The continuation of monkey they work and baboon they chop politics in our nation is becoming worrisome and vexatious. This unnecessary political setback need rethink.
We have seen the Ministerial nominees, Special Advisers and Assistance of the President and precisely Benue State Governor. The lists was very surprising to party faithfuls who over the years have committed themselves to the growth of the party but ignored. At least there should be reward for commitment, devotion and loyalty.
However, there are other positions still available and it will be proper that the leadership, the President and States Governor’s should use the availability to settle responsibility by using and the positions to say thank you to a genuine party men who have give it all to the party during the lean and difficult time.
This time should be the time to reward party faithfuls as our President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. In the bid to give life to democracy some principle politicians like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former President Muhammadu Buhari, Chief Ogbonaya Onu, ALHAJI Lai Muhammed, late Tony Momoh, our leaser George Akume, Rauf Aregbesola, and the likes of others most especially our own Hon. Nelson Alapa are the opposition stars of yesterday that gave PDP the run for their money. These are politicians that vibrated the ongoing democracy in Nigeria. When some of their counterparts were crosscarpetting from the opposition parties ANPP, AD, ACN, CPC to PDP to pluck the riped fruits, they remained in the opposition trenches dialoguing and putting strategies together on how to liberate Nigeria from ion feasted PDP that derives satisfaction in decimating opposition and want to have it all. Through these ideological party men our democracy witnessed turnaround and opposition were able to upstaged the party in power and we hope this trend should continue as it makes our politics competitive and developmental oriented.
Hon. Nelson Alapa, former Honourable member representing the good people of Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency, is a resourceful and epitome of development and party loyalty, he open up the challenge of progressive representation in Idoma land and still remain one of the best political leader of this era in Idoma land and Benue State.
One of the architects and designers of our great party APC. This man had played his due in Nigerian politics. He was a founding member of APC having been a member of one of the legacy parties; the defunct ANPP that collapsed into APC with other parties (ACN and CPC) in 2014. He was historically among the 37 signatories that formerly registered APC with Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the only politician from Benue State that was part of this historical foundation of APC.
Hon Nelson Alapa, has remain calm over the years when the food is ready politicians cross-carpetted from other parties and came and upstaged the likes of them who are party men, committed and loyal to the party. Hon. Alapa is an endorsement of party loyalty, he has endured and bore the brunt of beíng in opposition till he fought together with likes minds to bring opposition to power. We need to appreciate such value and reward loyalty.
It is natural that you reap from where you sowed. Hon Nelson had sowed imperishable fruits in APC vineyard, it should be time to reap from it. Nature always reward efforts. Hon Nelson Alapa had served All Progressive Congress APC, dutifully and efficiently and he deserve to be rewarded.
I call on our great party APC, to come up with acceptable template in determining the emergence of members who deserves to be rewarded within the party. In the nutshell, appointments should be base on loyalty and contribution to the success of our great party.
Our President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has the antecedent of good leadership qualities and one of the factors that brought him to the level he is today is the genuine attitude of rewarding hard works and loyalties. My dear President, please go through the records and antecedents of Hon. Nelson Alapa, you will find a trailblazer, team player, trusting associate, a strong loyalist to our party APC and an achiever. No politisan in Benue State have contributed to the formation of APC, the growth and value of APC more than Hon. Alapa. He is a party man to the call, and one who play politics without bitterness.
I join other APC well wishers as a pioneer member of APC, to appeal to Mr. President to reward loyalty by considering Hon. Nelson Alapa for appointment to render rewarding services to nation. Not because of his loyalty alone, but because the gift of leadership, his intelligence, capability and progressive inclination that is deciding factor of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu choice of associates. Chief Nelson Alapa will easily fit into your vision of renewed hope. Because the man Nelson Alapa is an emission of hope and will not disappoint your entrustment.
