President Bola Tinubu paid tribute to Nigeria’s founding fathers as the country marked 65 years of independence.
He recalled leaders like Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obafemi Awolowo, and Ahmadu Bello, who envisioned a united and prosperous nation.
Tinubu detailed milestones achieved under his administration, including a record non-oil revenue exceeding 20 trillion naira, reduced debt-service-to-revenue ratio, and an increase in foreign reserves to $42 billion.
Nigeria has recorded five consecutive quarters of trade surplus, signaling economic diversification beyond oil.
The president also highlighted improvements in youth empowerment programs, transport infrastructure, and national security efforts.
