President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday declared that his administration’s reform agenda is beginning to yield “undeniable progress” in both economic recovery and social cohesion.
In his address marking two years in office, Tinubu said policies introduced since 2023 have “restored and reinvigorated” the national economy.
“We are seeing the first fruits of our labor,” Tinubu said. “The economy is on a path to recovery and our social fabric is stronger than ever.”
He cited improvements in key economic indicators and increased foreign investment as evidence of the reforms’ effectiveness.
The president also pointed to government initiatives aimed at supporting small businesses and boosting local industries.
Critics, however, have argued that many Nigerians are yet to feel the benefits of these reforms, with high unemployment and inflation persisting.
Tinubu acknowledged the challenges but maintained that the government’s efforts are laying a solid foundation for future prosperity.
“We are building a Nigeria that works for everyone,” he said. “The results may not be immediate, but they are real and irreversible.”
