The Vice Chancellor, University of Abuja, Prof. Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah has charged University lecturers to remain committed to the call of nuturing young Nigerians to greatness.
Prof. Na’Allah gave the charged at an event organised by the University to honour a Literary giant and Poet, Prof. Niyi Osundare a lecturer from University of Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to him, if young people are properly nutured, it would encourage the economic and political development of the country.
While urging University lecturers to emulate the Poet, the VC charged the taechers to shun acts capable of undermining the dignity of their students.
Prof. Osundare called on the people in the position of authority to think deeply and reflect about the problems as well as long time solutions to the challenges currently bedevelling the country.
