Thousands of motorists and road users were on Monday morning held up in Kuje Area Council, FCT, by the ongoing #EndSARS protesters

campaigning against police brutality and good governance in the country.

The protesters also took by storm, barricading major entrance to the otherwise peaceful satellite town, which houses law school and JAMB among others, SHARPEDGENEWS can authoritatively report.

Checks showed that protesters, blocked the Kuje-Airpot road, Tipper Garage, Secretariat Junction and Kuje-Gwagwalada road to press home their demands.

Correspondent of News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) who monitored the exercise in Kuje described the process as peaceful and orderly at the time of filing this report.

NAN reports that the Abuja protest since last week gradually gathered ultimatum of its highest crowd as hundreds of young people blocked the airport road.

The protesters said they would not go home and would remain on the road all day as majority of them were seen dancing and playing football on the express way.

Many of them were also seen spreading their clothes and mats on the floor, preparing to either play cards or spend the night there.

According to them, placing a ban on SARS was not enough, but total reform and rebranding of the entire police force will go a long way to fix the force.

They also called for regular medical checks on officers to identify those with mental issues, psychological challenges, drug addiction to prevent unnecessary provocations, intimidations and oppression.

Even though the protest appeared peaceful in Bwari, parents hurriedly rushed to schools to take their children and wards for safety purposes.

An elderly man of over 80 years who spoke on anonymity to SHARPEDGENEWS pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to open the borders to force down prices of food especially rice, adding that the protest is beyond police brutality alone.

Additional Report from NAN.
