Vulgar Akpabio “Gives” N6m to “Hungry” PDP Members for Mr. Biggs

SPENDTHRIFT Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpaibo, did little to manage his rising image crisis when he condescendingly gave six million naira cash to PDP zonal leaders whom he said were hungry to buy fast food and drinks from Mr. Biggs.

Since Governor Akpabio mortgaged his soul to principalities of Aso Rock by agreeing to be installed as a minion to weaken the unity of the Nigeria’s Governors Forum, he has become extremely profligate.

Akbabio’s critics accuse him of having a complex problem that makes him to throw unappropriated monies around. For example, he is said to be fond of lacking in the intellectual depth to solve problems like a true statesman.

“He looks at situations from the prism of money. If he gives you money now, the next time he sees you, you have become irrelevant,” volunteered one of the party men who felt insulted by Akpabio’s Sunday meal largesse.

Sources at yesterday’s meeting said that Akpabio conducted himself with such arrogance that his counterparts from Rivers State, Mr. Chibuike Amaechi, and Delta State, Mr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, cleverly excused themselves, leaving Akpabio with the national chairman of ODO Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.

Sharpedgenews.com was told that the meeting was called to secure internal peace for the PDP in the south-south. A similar forum was held in the south west last week. Proceedings were said to have been very peaceful until Akpabio took the microphone and decided to look at serious demands for the empowerment of unemployed from the prism of “bread and butter.”

According to eyewitnesses, the zonal leaders of the PDP wanted poverty alleviation palliatives for unemployed Nigerians and empowerment for party foot-soldiers, But when profligate Akpabio took the microphone, he allegedly interpreted the public spirit counsel to mean “quick fix for the boys”

He allegedly announced a donation of one million naira for the leadership committee for each of six states of the south-south represented at the meeting.
