Ward Congress : Kokona LG APC Stakeholders unite for common goal, adopt consensus, hold peaceful exercise.

APC Stakeholders in Kokona LGA of Nasarawa State have unite for a common goal and a hitch-free ward congress in the area.

The Stakeholders who converged at the LG Guest House peacefully reached a common ground and adopted the consensus method as agreed by the party’s leadership.

In his speech, the Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Danladi Jatau, re-emphasized the need for Stakeholders of the party in Kokona Local Government Area to ensure that the ward congress in their wards are conducted peaceful, rancour-free and successful.

He also called on the stakeholders to place the interest of the party above their personal interest for the victory of the party in the area beyond 2027.

The Speaker who made the call today during the APC stakeholders meeting of the area in Garaku, Kokona Local Government Area during the commencement of the congress said the area will continue to remain one of the most peaceful in the State during political activities.

Dr. Jatau said that the meeting was to discuss and ensure the success of the ward Congress in the area.

He expressed optimism that the ward Congress would be transparent and peaceful.

” Today is a day that the National leadership of All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed for the conduct of our ward Congress.

“The critical stakeholders of Kokona LGA has met to discuss on how to ensure peaceful and successful ward Congress.

“We have agreed and abide by the decision of our party and stakeholders on Consensus.

“From here, we are going to our respective wards to conduct the ward Congress based on the party constitution and guidelines” he said.

Jatau urged stakeholders to ensure that the process is transparent and peaceful in their wards for the unity, peace and development of the party.

Also speaking, Dr. John Mamman, the State Commissioner for Education who is also the Leader of the Congress for the LG said that the meeting was fruitful and successful.

He names Dr Danladi Jatau, the Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly as the leader of the Ward Congress in Bassa District and Hon. Daniel Ogah Ogazi as incharge of Garaku, Prof. Abdulkarim Kana, Dr. John Mamman among other stakeholders were named as leaders to take charge in their respective wards.

John Mamman also said that the Ward Congress would be done through concensus.

“We are going to elect our ward executive members by consensus in the interest of unity, peace, progress and development of the party” he said.

He also urged the stakeholders and members of the party to be orderly and to ensure that right things are done in the best interest of the party.

It would be reported that the meeting had in attendance Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Daniel Ogah Ogazi, Member representing Kokona East constituency, Dr. John Mamman, Commissioner for Education, Hon. Barr. Abubakar Obere Kana, former member representing Kokona West Constituency, Hon. Raphael Dogara Sa’aka, former member representing Kokona East constituency, Hon. Agbawu Mek Agbawu, Chairman, Kokona LGA, Hon. Awalu Adamu, former Chairman of the area among others.
